Welcome to The Rock Foundation Ministry, a place of faith, community, and love, nestled in the heart of Paterson, New Jersey. Established in 2005 by Pastor Alex Lakoju, and a small groups of members. Our journey began with humble roots at the YWCA on Carol St, laying the foundation for a ministry committed to serving the spiritual and physical needs of our community.
After our initial gathering space, we were blessed to find a temporary home in the welcoming auditorium of the Church of Love on Broadway and 23rd St. where we continued to grow and connect with more individuals seeking spiritual guidance and fellowship. In 2010, seeking a lasting base to nurture our expanding mission, we established our presence at 100 Park Ave. This transition removed the hurdles of temporary setups, enabling us to dedicate ourselves more fully to extending our ministry and deepening our involvement in the community.
A landmark year for us was 2013 when we launched our Breakfast Ministry, a reflection of our dedication to serving the community and sharing the love of Jesus Christ through practical acts of kindness. This ministry not only meets the physical needs of our neighbors but also opens doors for spiritual nourishment and connection.
Our faith and commitment were further blessed in 2015 when, through the support generated by our Breakfast Ministry and the grace of God, we were able to secure a mortgage for our church building at 100 Park Ave. This achievement marked a significant milestone in our journey, providing us with a permanent base from which to continue our work.
Today, The Rock Foundation Ministry remains steadfast in its mission to serve breakfast bi-weekly, share the gospel, and extend God’s love to everyone who walks through our doors. We are more than just a church; we are a family united in faith, hope, and love, dedicated to making a difference in our community and beyond.
